Stephen H. Varrichio, SVP Agency Director

Stephen is responsible for the management and growth of multiple lines of business that support Kessler’s major client relationships in both Boston and San Francisco. He oversaw the launch of Kessler SF and maintains day-to-day responsibility for general management of the office. Stephen also played a vital role in establishing and growing Kessler’s Procurement Practice, which now delivers over $45 million annually in client cost savings. Stephen joined Kessler in 1994 and was responsible for the development of new clients and business opportunities, including the launch of Kessler’s international division, establishing offices in Australia and Europe. Stephen returned to Kessler after spending several years at Akamai Technologies, where he served as Global Alliance Manager and was responsible for development of the company’s strategic channel sales partners.

Jean Ercolani, VP Director of Client Services

Jean brings more than 20 years of marketing experience from both the agency and client sides of the business, giving her a unique perspective on challenges and opportunities. Her marketing experience includes more than 12 years developing and implementing direct marketing strategies in a wide variety of product and service categories across nearly every distribution and sales channel. Jean’s analytical, strategic, creative management, and program implementation skills have resulted in solid execution, strong results, and numerous Echo awards for effectiveness and creativity. She has directed multi-brand, co-marketing programs in customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, and win-back for numerous industries, including consumer packaged goods, financial services, retail, distilled spirits, gaming, telecom, and more.

Richard Bumgarner, VP Executive Creative Director

Richard brings over 17 years of results-oriented marketing experience to Kessler SF. He manages a team of creative professionals in the development and execution of strategic and creative initiatives. He is well versed in direct mail, online, retail, event, and multicultural marketing. Richard has worked in the financial services, technology, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, and cable television industries. His online experience includes being the Creative Director for the Wells Fargo Internet Services Group and leading online projects for E*Trade, Yahoo!, Safeway.com, Nestlé Beverage Division, and more.

Jay Dillemuth, VP Director of Interactive Services

Jay has 10+ years of interactive and agency experience. As Director of Interactive Services for Kessler, he’s responsible for the management, content development, and engineering for all interactive and online initiatives at Kessler SF. Prior to joining Kessler SF, Jay managed his own business, Berkeley Interactive Design, where he was cofounder and creative director. Jay’s work has won several awards, including recognition in The New York Times, Wired, Details magazine, and Le Monde. His efforts recently lifted WaMu’s acquisitions Web site to a #1 ranking in overall usability according to a recent Change Sciences survey of top card issuer sites. He has directed a host of successful projects for Lexus, Countrywide, GMAC, ESPN, PetSmart, HSN, Cabela’s, and Wal-Mart.
